The first recordings for this EP date back to 2018 when I spent two weeks on a residency in a remote village in the northeast of Iceland.
Being immersed in a wild environment that was soothing and overwhelming at the same time allowed for a state of mind focused on thoughts and feelings usually buried by the buzz of daily life. The roaring of gigantic water falls, the absorbing quietness of mossy lava fields and the hissing of the bowels of the earth made me listen and think differently.
The tracks are inspired by the landscapes and fed by old, almost forgotten memories.
